Home: Welcome

ABOUT THE CLUB

The Primary mission of Texas A&M University Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club (TAMU BJJ Club) is to connect Texas A&M University students to others who practice, or would like to practice, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for both sport and self-defense.

What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, or BJJ for short, is a grappling martial art focused on pinning and submitting opponents. While there is no striking in BJJ there is a plethora of different joint locks and chokes that can be used with proper leverage and technique.
